A Brief Biography

The Other Kind of SmartHarvey Deutschendorf is an Emotional Intelligence Coach for an organization with 2000 members.  He is certified to administer the Bar-On EQI, the first scientifically valid test for emotional intelligence that has been approved by the American Psychological Association.  His passion for emotional intelligence becomes evident in the numerous presentations he has done and continues to do on the topic.  The Other Kind Of Smart is HarveyŐs second book.  His first book, Of Work and Men, How Men Can Become More Than Their Careers, was published by Fairview Press of Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1996. Harvey has an extensive background in Career Development and Social Work.  He is a member of the Human Capital Institute and Toastmasters.

Harvey is a member of the Mankind Project a menŐs organization dedicated to personal improvement and service to the community. His mission is to help people bring more power and joy into their lives.  Harvey enjoys music, hiking in the mountains, travel, movies, red wine and spending time with friends. He lives in Edmonton, Alberta CANADA
